Ingredients
56 grams (2 ounces) of egg noodles
1 tablespoon of butter
56 grams (2 ounces) of chopped, fully cooked ham
28 grams (1 ounce) of blue cheese crumbles
Garnish: 1 chopped scallion
Directions
- Bring two quarts of water to a boil in a saucepan. Then, add the egg noodles. Cook the noodles according to the package directions, approximately 9 minutes. After cooking, remove the pan from the heat but do not drain the noodles yet.
- In a skillet set over medium heat, melt the butter and then add the ham. Cook for three minutes.
- Turn off the heat, add the cooked noodles, and toss them gently.
- Add the cheese to the pan with the meat and noodles, tossing until the cheese has melted and the sauce has formed. If necessary, incorporate more noodle water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed – Careful, the ham and cheese are typically salty.
- Top with chopped scallions as a garnish.
